I live in Rio de Janeiro and came to San Antonio for work. I spent two weeks in the city and found this wonderful jiujitsu gym to keep me training. Professor Nuno is very experienced, technical and attentive. Helped me a lot! The gym is well prepared. Everything brand new! The students are very friendly and hospitable. An exceptional program for children. The instruction and coaching seems consciously designed for children to learn and thrive in life. It is fun watching the kids spar with zero animosity, simply having fun and improving. I particularly love the confidence that the girls display and they routinely exceed the ability of the boys. I arrived from San Diego two years ago looking for a BJJ club to continue my BJJ journey with. I tried several places until finally settling at Atos Jiu Jitsu San Antonio with Professor Nuno. From our very first meeting Professor Nuno has demonstrated unrivaled professionalism as a teacher, a mentor, a guide, and through time (on the mat) an honor to call my Professor. ATOS San Antonio is genuinely the best place to take your kids (and even more so if you’re an adult) to jiujitsu. We visited a couple other gyms in town prior to choosing this one & it’s by far the cleanest, brightest, spacious, and welcoming. Professor Nuno is an excellent instructor. He truly encompasses all the great qualities of a good teacher: patient, respectful, motivating, helpful, transformational, and has ridiculously witty sense of humor. Three out of four of our family members attend this gym and we couldn’t be happier. We spend a lot of time here. Nuno is incredibly great with kids. Our 8 and 5 year old adore and respect Nuno, tremendously. They listen to him and know that his teaching will help them get better each time. After seeing how much our boys enjoyed it, I decided to join. As a female in her 30’s, profesor Nuno has been extremely patient and has taught me a lot about my strength, strength I had no idea existed inside of me. Started at ATOS with my son about 1 1/2 years ago and just loving it. Had done some Jiu Jitsu some years ago. Quality at this school is just on another level! Great School! Incredible instruction! Great people to roll with everyday. Never have left a class without learning something new!
